Recently a new sculpture commission, SAILOR, was installed in the City of Gulfport, MS.  Last year Sailor, small version was leased by the local Public Art Association for a one year stay.  They liked the image so much they wanted a full sized figure.  She stands on a brick plinth on a busy corner across from the Post Office.  Stainless steel and cast bronze construction makes this a permanent addition to the city's ever growing Public Art collection.

Just finished a stainless steel maquette (model) from the new WALKING WATCHER series.  The sculpture is 30 inches high and includes brass fish.  There will be a full life-sized sculpture of the FISH KEEPER coming after the first of the new year.

THREE SHADES OF GREEN will have its official unveiling on September 10 th at 6:00 – 7:30 pm at The University of Tennessee – Chattanooga.  This commission sculpture came about with the urging and support of my dear patron, Ruth Holmberg and the University.

If you are in town come on by for the celebration.

My sculpture concept for this project is based on our contemporary environmental concerns.  The sculpture presents three figures setting on recycled turbine blades in various shades of green.  Each figure represents the students of UTC and reminds them that they will and do hold the answers to today's problems and the future belongs to them.  The sculpture will be fabricated of aluminum and structural fiberglass, with some stainless steel.  There will be three pieces, each of which will be about 15 feet high.  Each plinth will be mounted on a concrete foundation at a mixture of heights.
